The IAS National Christmas Party took place on Tuesday 5th December at a new venue for the IAS, the De Vere Grand Connaught Rooms in central London. It was great to be in the new venue which has hosted some memorable events over the years from the Elle Style Awards to Vivienne Westwood to Britain’s got Talent
Over 250 agents and clients attended the black tie event with close up magicians bamboozling everyone, a photo booth which produced some striking and highly amusing photos and a strike light reaction game that provided some suitable competition. A new addition this year was a disco which went on to 1am which seemed to be a justified decision to include as the dance floor was a busy place.
IAS Chair, Daniel Harness opened proceedings by welcoming everyone to the new venue explaining that it is a great time of year for a get together to raise a glass to everyones efforts in what has been a bit of a rollercoaster year for the property sector.
Daniel continued - "Tonight is the final IAS event of the year and our last chance to raise money for our chosen charity, Young Lives vs Cancer. As you have hopefully seen on the IAS website charity page, we had a lovely video from a young girl called Daisy who was staying at Pauls House in London whilst receiving treatment for cancer. Unfortunately we received the sad news recently that young Daisy lost her battle rather suddenly and is no longer with us. Our thoughts of course go out to her family at this very difficult time. So please dig deep and let us have a final push to raise as much money as possible for our charity tonight"
The raffle that took place raised a total of £2,970 which will be passed onto the charity so thank you to everyone that bought raffle tickets. Prizes included gift vouchers for Hotel Chocolat, Laithwaites, Mr & Mrs Smith, Tea at The Ritz, Urban Massage and Theatre Tokens.
Thanks must of course go to all the very kind sponsors that supported the event - Bericote, GLP, Goodman, Graftongate, Panattoni, PLP, Tritax Symmetry and SEGRO
