Sad News For Society Members

For those of you not aware, we write with some very sad news about a colleague and friend, John Hammond who, after a shockingly short battle with cancer passed away on Monday 17th June

John started his career in 1974 with Gerald Eve & Co, gaining further experience and knowledge thereafter with Herring Son & Daw, also in the West End, Baxter Payne & Lepper in Bromley and in 1986 joining Harold Williams Bennett (which became Stiles Harold Williams) based in Croydon, Surrey.

John left SHW at the end of March 2009 and started up JPA Commercial Property Consultants and formed associations with other specialist practices to offer an all- round commercial property service.

John was a character and highly professional. He was a family man and leaves behind his wide Diane and daughter Sarah. To the very end John always thought of others.

St Catherine's Hospice were so caring and compassionate to John and his family during his time with them. They made his last few days peaceful, relaxed and comfortable. We are sure that being able to help them to support others would have been important to John. Therefore, any donations to St Catherine's in John's memory would be very appreciated. Our sincere condolences go out to the family at this very sad time.
